d e t a i l s : Truly a work of wearable art! This mod dress designed by Elinor Simmons for Malcolm Starr is exquisite! The design work done by Elinor was always highly embellished and beautifully lux. This one in particular is a shorter length with a mod style shift cut with slight a-line shape. Sleeveless with a deep v and boat style combination neckline. It's totally encrusted with beads and various shaped sequins (leaves!) in colorful jewel tones of gold, orange and purple. The background of the dress is also lovely with a metallic lurex fabric in a abstract print. It shimmers and shines with every movement. A super special piece I have yet to see anywhere else. Fully lined.

c o n d i t i o n : Excellent condition. Feels and looks new. Perhaps a very small random loose thread, but everything is very stable and presents mint.

Additionally, vintage clothing is more fragile and should be worn with this in mind. Occasionally there are seam allowances or darts that can be removed, as well as tailors that can alter a vintage item to fit your particular shape.
When determining size I recommend measuring the following:
HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips.
BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your natural waistline.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: measure from the very top of your shoulder - where the seam would lie, down the front, over the bust, to your waistline.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front, and to the point where the hem would be. Inseam measurements for pants would be measured from the inside of the leg at the very top of the groin, down to the hem.
✦ SHOE SIZING - I tale actual measurements inside the shoe from toe to heel, as well as width measurements inside the shoe as accurately as possible.
