VINTAGE DRESS SET

f a b r i c : wool - definitely a heavier fall/winter weight, rhinestones, beads
c o l o r : black
f a s t e n e r s : buttons, metal zipper
d e s i g n e r : Sylvia Rutkins (most likely a store, not a designer - sometimes the store removed the designer labels though) Update: I found out this is by Malcolm Starr!
d e t a i l s : Beautiful couture quality black wool early 60s formal dress with sparkling clear prong-set rhinestones covering the bust and straps interspersed with floral hand-beading work. Empire waistline with wide band, full skirt with hidden pockets and back metal zipper closure. Fully lined. Matching slim fit jacket with long sleeves and rhinestone encrusted button closures. Perfect for a fancy holiday event!

c o n d i t i o n : great condition with a few minor issues - a few "picks" to the fabric on the lower front of the skirt and a very small circular mend on the lower side of the skirt. Both in my opinion are minor and not easily noticed. Some minor darkening a a couple missing rhinestones on one of the buttons of the jacket.

Additionally, vintage clothing is more fragile and should be worn with this in mind. Occasionally there are seam allowances or darts that can be removed, as well as tailors that can alter a vintage item to fit your particular shape.
When determining size I recommend measuring the following:
HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips.
BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your natural waistline.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: measure from the very top of your shoulder - where the seam would lie, down the front, over the bust, to your waistline.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front, and to the point where the hem would be. Inseam measurements for pants would be measured from the inside of the leg at the very top of the groin, down to the hem.
✦ SHOE SIZING - I tale actual measurements inside the shoe from toe to heel, as well as width measurements inside the shoe as accurately as possible.
