d e t a i l s : Beautiful 1950s off white tulle and lace wedding dress. This has a off the shoulder top that is framed with lace and a sweetheart neckline. Layers of tulle are laid in a pleating patter along the bustline with another lace of sheer floral lace under the bust. The waist is cinched at the natural waistline and flares out into a full tulle and lace maxi skirt. The bottom hem is pleated and ruffled with lace oval details. There is the top layer with the lace, another tulle layer underneath that has some according pleating and then a solid ivory layer. The overall color of the dress is a warm white. Back metal zipper closure.

c o n d i t i o n : Great condition with the following to note: there was originally a nude/tan type of sheer layer that was just under layer of tulle. It added a different hue to the dress - I did like it but it had a stain on it unfortunately so it was removed. There is a verrrry tiny sliver of the layer at the waistline, but I don't find it noticeable. You could always buy another layer of tulle in this same color if you wanted to change the color a bit. The other minor issue in my opinion is at the areas of lace by the underarm it has some discoloring to the stitching - sort of a yellowing. I don't know if this is underarm staining or just the stitching/lace itself, as the underarms themselves aren't stained. Again, because this dress is a warm white, I don't find it noticeable really. Of course this dress would be BEAUTIFUL dyed another color - black? Ohhh. I'm tempted, but I am going to sell this as it is. I do believe it's totally beautiful and wearable as it is.

s i z i n g : fits like a modern XXS-XS but please use measurements.
m e a s u r e m e n t s (inches) :
length: (from shoulder to bottom hem)
waist: 24.75 (natural waist area)
hips: open
bust: 32
I didn't measure around the shoulders, but it was too tight to zip up on my mannequin, so I would recommend someone with smaller shoulders.
Thanks for looking!
NEED TO KNOW:
✦ MOST sales are considered final. Returns can be reviewed on a case-by-case basis if there is a significant error in the listing. Time is spent to give accurate measurements on each item, so I unfortunately can not offer returns for items that do not fit. TERRASITA also can not accept returns on undergarments, bathing-suits, or items from the 1920's or earlier due to their fragile nature. Additional absolutely no returns or exchanges on Layaway items.
✦ Vintage clothing is pre-worn and pre-loved and as a result some pieces may show signs of wear or use. I carefully inspect each item and disclose any signs of wear in our detailed descriptions.
✦ If you have any questions about fit, color, or need any additional photos, please don't hesitate to ask questions before you decide to purchase. I want you to be happy with your item!
✦ SIZING - Vintage clothing sizing does not reflect modern standards. When determining size, make sure you account for enough room to move comfortably. Additionally, vintage clothing is more fragile and should be worn with this in mind. Occasionally there are seam allowances or darts that can be removed, as well as tailors that can alter a vintage item to fit your particular shape.
When determining size I recommend measuring the following:
HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips.
BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your natural waistline.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: measure from the very top of your shoulder - where the seam would lie, down the front, over the bust, to your waistline.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front, and to the point where the hem would be. Inseam measurements for pants would be measured from the inside of the leg at the very top of the groin, down to the hem.
✦ SHOE SIZING - I tale actual measurements inside the shoe from toe to heel, as well as width measurements inside the shoe as accurately as possible.
