VINTAGE DRESS
e r a : 1940s
f a b r i c : fluid rayon
c o l o r : white - this is more of a warm white vs. cool white - not quite ivory but not stark white either
f a s t e n e r s : metal zipper closure
d e s i g n e r : unknown
d e t a i l s : Really beautiful white rayon maxi dress with delicate clear and greyish beading over the bust and shoulders and lower waistline - they look a bit like a peacock feather on the top. Nipped waistline with soft pleating details above and long full skirt. Padded shoulders with short sleeves. Side metal zipper closure. This would make such a lovely winter wedding dress!
c o n d i t i o n : Great overall condition. There is one mend that really looks invisible to me - not noticeable at all. There are a few faint yellow water marks near the shoulders - I think it's from the washing process and they would probably wash off with another wash, but I had already washed it 4 times - that said - I think they really aren't noticeable unless you are looking very closely for them. Presents beautifully!

NEED TO KNOW:
✦ MOST sales are considered final. Returns can be reviewed on a case-by-case basis if there is a significant error in the listing. Time is spent to give accurate measurements on each item, so I unfortunately can not offer returns for items that do not fit. TERRASITA also can not accept returns on undergarments, bathing-suits, or items from the 1920's or earlier due to their fragile nature. Additionally, absolutely no returns or exchanges on Layaway items or wedding items.
✦ Vintage clothing is pre-worn and pre-loved and as a result some pieces may show signs of wear or use. I carefully inspect each item and disclose any signs of wear in our detailed descriptions.
✦ If you have any questions about fit, color, or need any additional photos, please don't hesitate to ask questions before you decide to purchase. I want you to be happy with your item!
✦ SIZING - Vintage clothing sizing does not reflect modern standards. When determining size, make sure you account for enough room to move comfortably. Additionally, vintage clothing is more fragile and should be worn with this in mind. Occasionally there are seam allowances or darts that can be removed, as well as tailors that can alter a vintage item to fit your particular shape.
When determining size I recommend measuring the following:
HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips.
BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your natural waistline.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: measure from the very top of your shoulder - where the seam would lie, down the front, over the bust, to your waistline.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front, and to the point where the hem would be. Inseam measurements for pants would be measured from the inside of the leg at the very top of the groin, down to the hem.
✦ SHOE SIZING - I tale actual measurements inside the shoe from toe to heel, as well as width measurements inside the shoe as accurately as possible.
