Exceptional 1920s silk wedding dress with matching long train. A truly rare and beautiful piece!
[i n f o]
* dropped waistline with silk sash detail and wax flower bouquet in the center
* long sheer sleeves with snap closures at the wrist
* cut out 3-D silk flowers falling along the upper waistline and down from the hips
* silk skirt with sheer overlay that opens in the front and is lined with more pearls

Bust: 32
Waist: 23"
Length: 38" (from waist to bottom hem)
Hips: 34" (I measured the hips slightly lower than the sash so it might go up an inch or so depending on how long your torso is - however I would say the lower sized measurement would be ideal

Overall this piece is wearable and sturdy for its age and in good overall condition. It is in sturdy enough shape to wear to your wedding and reception (HOWEVER if you did wear it to the reception I would be VERY careful as it is 100 years old!) I do think a better idea would be wearing this for your ceremony only and then switching out to something more durable for your reception as it needs to be handled with care. That said - here are the flaws: there is some halo type darkening to the fabric around some of the pearls (see photos), there are a few tiny holes in the mesh layer (see photo), there is a section on the train with a handful of scattered holes (see photo), two small repairs to the back of the upper back where two pearls came loose, and one of the ribbon "handles" on the train is frayed and would need to be fixed/replaced.
Thanks for looking!
NEED TO KNOW:
✦ MOST sales are considered final. Returns can be reviewed on a case-by-case basis if there is a significant error in the listing. Time is spent to give accurate measurements on each item, so I unfortunately can not offer returns for items that do not fit. TERRASITA also can not accept returns on undergarments, bathing-suits, items from the 1920's or earlier due to their fragile nature, and wedding dresses unless agreed upon. Additionally, absolutely no returns or exchanges on Layaway items.
✦ Vintage clothing is pre-worn and pre-loved and as a result some pieces may show signs of wear or use. I carefully inspect each item and disclose any signs of wear in our detailed descriptions.
✦ If you have any questions about fit, color, or need any additional photos, please don't hesitate to ask questions before you decide to purchase. I want you to be happy with your item!
✦ SIZING - Vintage clothing sizing does not reflect modern standards. When determining size, make sure you account for enough room to move comfortably. Additionally, vintage clothing is more fragile and should be worn with this in mind. Occasionally there are seam allowances or darts that can be removed, as well as tailors that can alter a vintage item to fit your particular shape.
When determining size I recommend measuring the following:
HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips.
BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your natural waistline.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: measure from the very top of your shoulder - where the seam would lie, down the front, over the bust, to your waistline.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front, and to the point where the hem would be. Inseam measurements for pants would be measured from the inside of the leg at the very top of the groin, down to the hem.
✦ SHOE SIZING - I tale actual measurements inside the shoe from toe to heel, as well as width measurements inside the shoe as accurately as possible.
