f a b r i c : net/mesh covered with felted wool beading & bobbles - slightly stiff mesh but due to the beading - which is particularly heavy at the bottom of the skirt - it has a very nice drape and flow to it
c o l o r : off white - I would call it a dusty white (see photo with white paper - but keep in mind monitors/phones are all different)

d e s i g n e r : Meuller-Graves New York - unfortunately my research didn't turn anything up
d e t a i l s : Absolutely bonkers incredible 1900s dusty white mesh/net dress covered with handmade and hand-placed wool felted beads and bobbles. The little white handmade wool felted beads are crafted into circles and donuts and little oblong long beads. Many of them are secured with another tiny seed bead on top. Placed in swirls and thoughtful "floral" designs. It must have taken a lot of time and work to complete this! This has a v neckline with short flutter sleeves, cinched waist with hook and eye and snap closures up the back and long full skirt with high split in the front. This originally would have had a silk under-dress which most likely shattered and was removed at some point. It would make a unique and lovely wedding dress for a bride that wants something truly special. It would need a silk slip of some sort and I believe a beautiful satin belt would look amazing.

c o n d i t i o n : Great overall condition. The back of the dress at the waist would need a a few snaps if you don't wear it with some kind of sash/belt. It most likely had a snap that attached to the original underdress. There are a few minor minds to seams and there is some slight markings on the hem of the skirt. It has been carefully soaked and is ready to wear (although it might need a steam). See photos.

✦ SIZING - Vintage clothing sizing does not reflect modern standards. When determining size, make sure you account for enough room to move comfortably. Additionally, vintage clothing is more fragile and should be worn with this in mind. Occasionally there are seam allowances or darts that can be removed, as well as tailors that can alter a vintage item to fit your particular shape.
When determining size I recommend measuring the following:
HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips.
BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your natural waistline.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: measure from the very top of your shoulder - where the seam would lie, down the front, over the bust, to your waistline.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front, and to the point where the hem would be. Inseam measurements for pants would be measured from the inside of the leg at the very top of the groin, down to the hem.
✦ SHOE SIZING - I tale actual measurements inside the shoe from toe to heel, as well as width measurements inside the shoe as accurately as possible.
